Thanks All I was - in the end - able to sort my problem out after some Googling!!
As I said it was reporting a Duplicate Key but when I used DESCRIBE and SHOW it told me there was NO Key!!
Using UPDATE I was able to re-set the KEY and all is now fine with everything working as expected.
