Hi :)
Ahah, if AbiWord, or any other OpenSource office program, reads it fairly well
then there is something wrong with LibreOffice.  It is very unusual for LO to
have such an extreme reaction to a file.

Can i recap on what has been tried so far?  Have you re-named the User Profile
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Documentation/UserProfile
That gets LO back to factory defaults and removes all Extensions.  If the file
still doesn't open then it's time for a bug-report about LO itself
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport

But posting a bug-report doesn't immediately solve the problem.  It takes time
for the devs to work through all the other reports already out there.  The list
is not a waiting list.  Most devs have the freedom to pick&choose what they
feel like working on.  Others are directed by their empoyers to focus on
specific issues.  Compatibility with MSO is apparently quite a high priority at
the moment but even so it might take time for them to get around to this
specific issue.  On the positive side they might be able to copy something
directly from AbiWord to fix it or spot where the problem is and fix it faster
if they know which version of AbiWord is happy with it.

So, to immediately work-around the problem does a save with Abiword
sufficiently fix the problem so that LO can open the file?
Regards from
Tom :)
