ODF 1.0/1.1 works fine. I am happy with .ods, so I do not need a workaround.
I just want to get my old document recovered.

I did the experiment A exactly A as you suggested before writing my last
letter. I just added a remark that I did it also before. The result was
exactly the same with .ods and .sxc
