The Spark Datagrid seems to use a canvas to scroll and is much, much, more responsive that the MX Datagrid. I wish there was more documentation on this, I suspect that in 4.13 you probably shouldn't be using ANY mx components (i.e: I'm guessing that if the Spark Datagrid component has exceeded the MX version then the rest of the components have too).
