It worked great for me too. Thanks Thomas for the additional instructions.
Last thing: I had to uninstall the Flex Installer after that because it was
causing dependency trouble to most apt-get operations.

I simply did the following: sudo apt-get -f install

This is the error I was getting:

*org.apache.flex.installapacheflex:i386 : PreDepends: adobeair:i386 (>=
1:2.6.0.0) but it is not installable*
*E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or
specify a solution).*

I'll add all this to my blog, and post the URL later today (I hope).
