Hi all,
+1
I have completed upgrade and verification testing on multiple environments
based on our upgrade test matrix, covering various Management Server OS and
Hypervisor combinations.
Testing activities performed:

  *
Upgrades from 4.19 / 4.20 / 4.21 to 4.22 across all test environments – all
upgrades completed successfully.
  *
Smoke tests executed successfully on VMware and KVM environments.
  *
Some smoke tests showed sporadic failures on XenServer, but manual verification
confirmed that these workflows function correctly.
  *
Basic UI and API operations and workflows were verified.

Test environments at the start of upgrade tests:
- upgrade-test-matrix-MS-ol8-HV-v-v7-4.19
- upgrade-test-matrix-MS-ol9-HV-v-v8-4.20
- upgrade-test-matrix-MS-u22-HV-k-ol8-4.21
- upgrade-test-matrix-MS-u24-HV-k-ol9-4.19
- upgrade-test-matrix-MS-r8-HV-k-u22-4.20
- upgrade-test-matrix-MS-r9-HV-k-u24-4.21
- upgrade-test-matrix-MS-s15-HV-k-s15-4.22
- upgrade-test-matrix-MS-ol8-HV-k-ol8-4.19
- upgrade-test-matrix-MS-ol8-HV-k-ol9-4.21
- upgrade-test-matrix-MS-u22-HV-k-u22-4.20
- upgrade-test-matrix-MS-u22-HV-k-u24-4.19
- upgrade-test-matrix-MS-ol8-HV-x-xcpng82-4.21
No critical issues were observed during the testing process.
Overall, it’s a solid release - great work to Hari and everyone involved in the
release and testing efforts!
Best regards,
Rositsa Kyuchukova

+1 (binding)

Repeated RC2 tests I had done earlier, and tested the regression (restore and
attach volume from a backup).

In a pleasant surprise, the GPU integration also detected NPU on one of my KVM
hosts and was able to create NPU specific compute offering and I was able to
deploy an NPU enabled test instance.

Also tested/upgraded my KVM/Ubuntu hosts to 25.10 (wanted to try/test qemu 10.x
and new libvirt), and could use the repo by defining in the new sources format:

# cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/cloudstack.sources
Types: deb
URIs: https://download.cloudstack.org/testing/4.22.0.0-RC3/debian/4.22/
Suites: /
Components: Signed-By: /etc/apt/keyrings/cloudstack.gpg
Enabled: yes

# virsh version
Compiled against library: libvirt 11.6.
Using library: libvirt 11.6.0
Using API: QEMU 11.6.0
Running hypervisor: QEMU 10.1.0

This host seemed to be working most lifecycles I tested (instance, instance
snapshots, volume, volume snapshot, template, isos, systemvms, virtual routers,
nas B&R, networks etc).

Regards.

[ ] -1 disapprove (and reason why)

For users convenience, the packages from this release candidate (RC3) are
available here:
