Hello,

Thank you for your guidance! I'm on AlmaLinux 9. Although  I had disabled
firewalld but for some reasons, iptables was not accepting rules and
without any error, rules were not being added to iptables. As a work
around, I just re-enabled firewalld and added the masquerade rule via it's
direct interface which adds direct rules to the underlying firewall
(iptables or nftables). Now the console VM is able to reach DNS servers and
it works fine.
