Hi Adam, My apologies, what version of CloudStack are you running?
Like Ivan said, you would need to enable local storage for the zone. libvirt should create a local storage pool, like you stated. The UUID & path would be in /etc/cloudstack/agent.properties. virsh pool-list will verify.
