Hi all, We are getting the same issue. We have upgraded our CS 4.9.2 from Xenserver 6.5 to Xenserver 7.1 and after that, the system vms such as secondary storage vm and console proxy vm didn't get any configuration and IP assigned.
The only error i can see in our log about this ... **************************************************************************** **************************************** 2017-04-04 18:01:46,346 ERROR [c.c.v.VirtualMachineManagerImpl] (Work-Job-Executor-8:ctx-b6306735 job-11355/job-11371 ctx-14b9e7ad ) (logid:031f224d) Failed to start instance VM[ConsoleProxy|v-2410-VM] com.cloud.utils.exception.ExecutionException: Unable to start VM:15f401a8-a0ea-48c5-8a43-7fd24933b7b4 due to error in finalizeSta rt, not retrying at com.cloud.vm.VirtualMachineManagerImpl.orchestrateStart(VirtualMachineManage rImpl.java:1085) at com.cloud.vm.VirtualMachineManagerImpl.orchestrateStart(VirtualMachineManage rImpl.java:4605) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) **************************************************************************** **************************************** Thank you for any help you can provide Best David -----Mensaje original----- De: Marty Godsey [mailto:[email protected]] Enviado el: domingo, 5 de marzo de 2017 9:40 Para: [email protected] Asunto: RE: Systemtemplates will not start in XenServer 7.x So did a little more research. This dosent look like an E1000 issues. Basically when my system VMs are booting, they are not pulling the configuration and getting the IPs assigned. When I Log into the system VM all I see is loopback. I also tried 7.0. The SystemTemplates never check in and based on some research I have done, this is because of the e1000 NIC no longer being in XenServer 7. Has any one else ran into this?
