linux password management

All,
  I have followed the directions here 
https://cloudstack.apache.org/docs/en-US/Apache_CloudStack/4.0.2/html/Admin_Guide/add-password-management-to-templates.html
 for trying to make the password management script work on Ubuntu 14.04.1
Any secrets to make it work correctly?
