Hi Chitra,

Cloudstack uses system VM to offload some process from CS MGMT.

1. SSVM :- Secondary storage VM,stores VM templates/ISO's and VHD snapshots.
2. CPVM :- Console Proxy VM...Provide console access of guest VM's.
3. Virtual Routers(DOMR) :- To manage the guest network

Basically the System Vm is debian based VM templates to manage the above
tasks.
