UK keyboard support is coming in 4.2 and works fine on the console proxy. The UK keys are directly mapped in the ajaxkeys.js file but there is some code in java to enable the UK keyboard on console proxy; so modifying only the javascript files will not work, you also need to have corresponding jars.
