I can do this:

                        <camel:choice>
                                <camel:when>
                                        <camel:method 
bean="accessControlProcessor" method="authorize" />
                                        <camel:log message="access control 
returned true"/>
                                </camel:when>
                                <camel:otherwise>
                                        <camel:log message="access control 
returned false"/>
                                </camel:otherwise>
                        </camel:choice>
