Store variable in camel context for later use

Hi,

I need to store a date time variable in body. I need to use this variable in
different routes and change its date and time. 
I am using following  code for this.
                     <setBody>
                            <simple>${SYSDATE()}</simple>
                     </setBody>

I am a newbie in camel. Plz help.
