Thank you for the reply Willem. Yes, I can access the rest service with simple get request. If I type the url for accessing the function in the browser, I get the output on the browser window. But in this case, my function is accessed ( I have a sysout in the function which tells me that the function is hit ) but I always get this exception in the out body of the exchange.
