Hi,

Yes. Apache projects are required to ensure that project artifacts do not
rope in dependencies/code that directly or indirectly rope in closed source
software or non-compatible license based dependencies.

This can expose the project to legal complications and makes the Apache
license on the component itself to question... The Camel PMC is responsible
for ensuring that this does not happen...
