Thanks that worked nicely. So if i didn't have this bean definition, Spring and Camel would have instantiated the entityManagerFactory twice. As per the jpa example in the Camel src, perhaps it would be good idea to add this bean as part of the spring based camel config example and avoid duplication of instantiating entityMangerFactory. You will notice that in the TRACE level logs for Camel JPA example.
