A backup server does not listen on 61616 until it goes active. As a workaround, you may try configuring a static cluster instead of discovery.

Our replication is not working at the moment. Any inside information will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance! Kind regards, Grzegorz Gestwicki From: Gestwicki, Grzegorz Sent: Thursday, May 22, 2025 6:23 PM To: users@activemq.apache.org Cc: jbert...@apache.org Subject: No replication between slave and master servers Hello Support Team, We have a replication cluster formation - one master and one slave server. After OS patching, the master server is not able to connect to the backup server. On the master server Artemis console GUI we don't see both servers, only the Live master server. On the slave server's Artemis console no Live or Backup servers are visible. No replication is active at the moment. It seems, that the Artemis application on the backup server is not listening on port 61616. There are no errors in the Artemis logs, but the backup server is behaving as a stand alone one and working on its own. Steps done: Checked Artemis logs: no errors in both log files. Restarted the Artemis service on both master and slave servers. Checked network, Firewall and OS settings. Antivirus disabled and tested. Broker.xml checked, no changes in both files. On the master server port 61616 is not visible in the established connection. Broker.xml files from master and slave servers are attached below. As well as both screenshots from Artemis Admin console. Can you please help us to solve this issue? Thank you in advance!
