In 2.31.0 we switched from using MarkDown and generating the docs using GitBook/HonKit to using the AsciiDoc format and tooling. See ARTEMIS-4383 [1] for more details on that.
To my knowledge, there are no AsciiDoc extensions to enable the kind of search that was available previously. Everything is open source, of course, so if you find (or implement) an extension that restores direct search functionality to the documentation please send a PR with the relevant changes. In the meantime I recommend you use the "site:url" method supported by most search engines that Alexander mentioned. I expect that method would give better results than even the original search functionality in the older docs.
