There should not be any issues running ActiveMQ 5 on ARM based systems, as long as the processor is suitably powerful and the JDK version aligns.
There will be a lot more of instances of this now that Apple has transitioned their computers to ARM-based processors. As Lucas pointed out, there are now more ARM based systems in the cloud.
