The user guide for windows says:
cd bin
activemq.bat console xbean:examples/conf/activemq-demo.xml
It should say:
cd bin
activemq.bat console xbean:../examples/conf/activemq-demo.xml
or alternatively
bin\activemq.bat console xbean:examples/conf/activemq-demo.xml
