That is ActiveMQ 5.x, not Artemis. It's been proposed that maybe Artemis will eventually become ActiveMQ 6.x and that 5.x would stop being developed and supported. To the best of my knowledge, no one has publicly decreed that that's the plan, nor stated what preconditions would need to be met in order for Artemis to be accepted as 6.x. so for now they're two separate projects under the same umbrella.
