Hello,

I've searched around and couldn't find anything relating to my problem. I'm
trying to install and run ActiveMQ 5.10.0 on FreeBSD 9.3 with JDK 1.7 but it
will not start.

When I try and start ActiveMQ via bin/activemq console, everything seems to
work until it gets to the database part. Then it just keeps on looping on
the following:

INFO | Database /opt/apache-activemq-5.10.0/data/kahadb/lock is locked...
waiting 10 seconds for the database to be unlocked. Reason:
java.io.IOException: Operation not supported

Initially I had version 5.8. After trying to get that going and failing, I
figured it might be because I had an outdated version. I then tried version
5.9 which is included with FreeBSD 9.3 under /usr/ports. So far all 3
versions fail with the same error???

Any clues or help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your time!
