We have default setting for persistent (ActiveMQ 5.8.x):
        <persistenceAdapter>
            <kahaDB directory="${activemq.data}/kahadb"/>
        </persistenceAdapter>

Also we did not specify broker option "deleteAllMessagesOnStartup". So it
must have its default value i.e. false
