Thanks. I had no idea what DTO stood for. Now that I do I take it they would be useful if I were to access the broker from my server when it is running as a standalone server. Since I hope to avoid that and run the MQTT broker as an embedded broker from inside my server application (don't know how difficult that will be), from what I understand about DTOs I would want to avoid the use of those DTO classes in that case.
