I had various segmentation fault errors when running the examples:

http://activemq.apache.org/cms/example.html
I'm using activemq-cpp-3.6.0 compiled from source since I did not find
any package for Ubuntu.
The problem is that the examples compile fine but crash at runtime with
segmentation fault.
They probably just became out of date, I later noticed that
activemq-cpp-library-3.6.0/src/examples/main.cpp
had various modifications done and works with 3.6.0
Hope this saves some time for other newcomers to activemq-cpp
