Thank you tabish121. I tried "vm://localhost?create=false" in my second application and that worked. I saw this information in VM transport documentation(http://activemq.apache.org/vm-transport-reference.html) earlier but the reason why did not try it earlier was because it said "Only supported in ActiveMQ 4.1" and i'm using 5.6. But looks like it is still supported.
