What kind of test do you like to add that you cannot run at the moment? Given the many properties you can set on the producer and consumer, the vast majority of use cases should be covered by these options. > 2, and how can I interpet the test case result? Make sure the test runs as long as the configured tpSampler.duration time. The test will exit when that time has elapsed and print out statistics on maximum, minimum and average performance. Again, for these numbers to be correct, the test needs to run (producer and consumer) until the tpSampler.duration time has elapsed. > > it would be better if there is some tutorial about the performance plugin. You are right, the documentation could probably get improved. However its basically necessary to start an external broker (e.g. using bin/activemq script) and then start consumer and producer in their own shells. You can configure producer and consumer according to your use case using the many options available for each process. > > thanks. > > > > On Wed, Aug 29, 2012 at 9:29 PM, Raymond Wang <rmn...@gmail.com> wrote: > >> thanks! >> >> it works well. >> >> but would you please help me further? could you tell me how to graph and >> chart the gerenated test results? >> >> >> >> On Wed, Aug 29, 2012 at 6:06 PM, Torsten Mielke-2 [via ActiveMQ] < >> ml-node+s2283324n4655754...@n4.nabble.com> wrote: >> >>> >>> This page that you are referring to seems to be out of date. >>> >>> You can also use the maven-activemq-perf-plugin >>> http://activemq.apache.org/activemq-performance-module-users-manual.html >>> >>> to perform benchmarks. >>> In addition my colleague Hiram Chirino has written a JMS benchmark tool >>> https://github.com/chirino/jms-benchmark >>> >>> >>> Hope this helps. >>> >>> Torsten Mielke >>> [hidden email] <http://user/SendEmail.jtp?type=node&node=4655754&i=0> >>> [hidden email] <http://user/SendEmail.jtp?type=node&node=4655754&i=1> >>> >>> On Aug 29, 2012, at 5:54 AM, rmn190 wrote: >>> >>>> >>>> I want to run the benchmark test, and the activemq version is 5.6.0. >>>> >>>> And I follow the steps >>>> http://activemq.2283324.n4.nabble.com/file/n4655748/benchmarkTest.png >>>> >>>> but the maven says: Unknown lifecycle phase "server". >>>> >>>> So what can I do? >>>> >>>> >>>> >>>> -- >>>> View this message in context: >>> http://activemq.2283324.n4.nabble.com/how-can-I-run-the-benchmark-test-tp4655748.html >>>> Sent from the ActiveMQ - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. >>> >>> >>> >>> >>> >>> >>> >>> ------------------------------ >>> If you reply to this email, your message will be added to the >>> discussion below: >>> >>> http://activemq.2283324.n4.nabble.com/how-can-I-run-the-benchmark-test-tp4655748p4655754.html >>> To unsubscribe from how can I run the benchmark test?, click >>> here<http://activemq.2283324.n4.nabble.com/template/NamlServlet.jtp?macro=unsubscribe_by_code&node=4655748&code=cm1uMTkwQGdtYWlsLmNvbXw0NjU1NzQ4fC0zMTI5MzkwODI=> >>> . >>> NAML<http://activemq.2283324.n4.nabble.com/template/NamlServlet.jtp?macro=macro_viewer&id=instant_html%21nabble%3Aemail.naml&base=nabble.naml.namespaces.BasicNamespace-nabble.view.web.template.NabbleNamespace-nabble.view.web.template.NodeNamespace&breadcrumbs=notify_subscribers%21nabble%3Aemail.naml-instant_emails%21nabble%3Aemail.naml-send_instant_email%21nabble%3Aemail.naml> >>> >> >> >> >> -- >> >> Best Regards >> rmn190 >> > > > > -- > > Best Regards > rmn190 > > > > > -- > View this message in context: > http://activemq.2283324.n4.nabble.com/how-can-I-run-the-benchmark-test-tp4655748p4655789.html > Sent from the ActiveMQ - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
