The counters related to topic messages in the ActiveMQ console seem to be either broken or confusing. All the counts for the topic and durable subscribers go back to zero when the broker is restarted in 5.6.0, even when there are messages persisted (i.e. I can start a subscriber process after broker restart and it will receive messages from the broker, even though all the message counts reported for the topic and subscriber are zero).
It's very useful to know what the real message backlog for a subscriber is. Does anyone know whether it's possible to find this out somehow?
