Yes, that is what I was missing... Tim addressed it in this thread, and I adjusted my code.
I do have one outstanding question though, assuming that I get my messages priorities to the producer... "Are the priority algorithm(s) applied by default or do the queues need to be configured as in this documentation; http://activemq.apache.org/how-can-i-support-priority-queues.html.";?
