G'day.

I don't know if this is the best place to ask sysadmin-focused questions about
managing ActiveMQ in production, but I couldn't find anywhere better.
Suggestions happily received.

Anyway, we have a two-site deployment of ActiveMQ running one broker at each
end, connected together to pass messages through. This is all working fine,
but it looks like some of the applications using it are doing something wrong.

Specifically, I have a topic with "13,384 Messages Enqueued", and "0 Messages
Dequeued", on the broker at both sites.

I *hope* that means "13K messages were sent to this at some point", but the
fact that it lists zero for dequeued is a bit worrysome.

Worse, I can't find anything useful in the documentation; the JavaDOC tells me
that the stats show the number of messages enqueued and dequeued, but not what
those numbers actually mean...

So, can someone help me out: is this normal, or should I panic about our
broken software?
