Thx James, i upgraded to the latest snapshot and it works now.
P.S.: Maybe there should a comment on the download page, that people who want to use AMQ + mysql should __not__ take the stable release but the snapshot.....:-) Or am i the only having this problem? I only tested it with mysql 5, maybe it worked with mysql 4...
