Since there hasn't been a GA release of Struts 2, people have been
keeping WebWork patched, and we've been making the corresponding
patches to Struts 2. AFAIK, there's no plan to discontinue WebWork, or
Struts 1.

So at work here people are asking 'should I start using WebWork or
Struts2?' What would you tell someone that asks you that question?
Where would I send them to help them to understand the differences in
choices? Do you see the confusion I'm pointing out that I'm sure those
on the outside are running into?

My general response now, thanks to what others have explained to me,
is.... "It appears they are very similar, just that Struts2 mostly
renamed a few files. The main developers on WebWork have moved over to
Struts2, therefor WebWork will soon become mostly a maintenance
release and Struts2 will be the more 'modern' framework of choice,
therefore I'd stick with looking at Struts2 for any new development."

I don't know if that assessment above is 100% correct, but it's what
'I've heard."
