Go for it :-) The current release is a beta, but 2.0.3 is looking like it may be voted GA -- and if it isn't, a GA is likely not far away. Either way, Struts 2 is based on WebWork which is a mature and stable code-base, so even in beta S2 is pretty close to being production-ready IMHO.
