Struts 2 is new, but WebWork has been around for some time. Struts 2 is,
essentially, WebWork 2.2 repackaged, so all the existing resources
(articles, tutorials, example applications, books, etc.) should apply
fairly directly.
Unless you already have a significant investment in Struts 1, I'd
recommend looking at Struts 2 for your project. If you're not
comfortable basing your project on a 'beta' release, start with WebWork
and migrate to Struts 2 when it goes GA. Migrating from Struts 1 to
Struts 2 is likely to be non-trivial.
On the other hand, if you're more familiar and/or comfortable with
Struts 1, it remains an excellent choice. It will just be more work to
go from Struts 1 to Struts 2 at a later date, if you ever decided you
wanted to.
