I'm searching for best practice in JEE applications to put configuration elements outside the war/ear.
Here is what I mean : My webapp requires some filesystem path to work (logs dir, system-dependent config files...). I'm using a java sytem property to setup a root path for external configuration, but this requires to customize the container JVM ("-Dxxx=yyy"). Is there a better "JEE" way to do such things ?
