even if it would work, how can you guarantee it resolves the proper
hostname? the default linux installation resolves
InetAdress.getLocalhost() to "localhost" until you remove the
127.0.0.1 line from your etc/hosts.

Who would use that wacky OS anyway?!? ;) LOL

Seriously, I didn't know that, not being a big *nix guy. Sounds like a good point. Ah well, it doesn't seem to work anyway, so I supposed it's a moot point anyway.
