If you want same action, but different submit buttons, your other possiblity is 
DispatchAction + 
buttons like this:

<input type="submit" name="dispatch" value="add"/>
<input type="submit" name="dispatch" value="delete"/>
<input type="submit" name="dispatch" value="commit"/>

Doesn't use javascript, but can be very cumbersome with internationalization.
