I can provide you some screenshots from 2 applications that I work on - they are not finished, but may be can give you some ideas about the power of struts-layout. And I have a friend who did some "miracles" with struts-layout, but he re-wrote big part of the tags and made his own renders. So depends what youd' like to achieve, depends how big is your application and how much do you want to invest in your own tags and tools.
