Whether it extends ActionForm or ValidatorActionForm doesn't matter. You can still access the validation functionality as normal. I was just clarifying the inheritence. The most current version of jpetstore that you can download from ibatis.com extends ActionForm. The version in SVN has the same architectural approach that is implemented differently.
