I find this all very humorous. Well, no one said it was, Craig. Eddie Bush said that it was VERY POOR ETIQUETTE to pose code on a class to this list. That is absurd. Changing the topic to something else is not fair pool. <snip> >This particular posting was > on topic for an ongoing discussion, but the size of it strikes me as > being at the borderline of being problematic. </snip> I see longer posts every day. This was a fairly short class. I suppose that I could have left off the imports. This is a lot of complaint about NOTHING. <snip> >This mailing list is > both popular and active, and many subscribers have to pay for their > network traffic by the number of bits received. The class with its imports, package statement, etc., including all the web.xml, was 106 lines. That is hardly a "big chunk". I can show you post, after post, after post, you get the idea, that are longer. There is something else afoot here. <snip> > > Don't have anyplace to post things that are net accessible? This is just more committer hybris and puffery. There should be MORE CODE on the list. That way the traffic could be avoided by reference to the archives. At least this is a legitimate point of view. Frankly, the list policemen cause more difficulties on this list than they solve in my opinion. This, however, was close to the Keystone Cops. Ridiculous!
