the support for web development (struts) is really good. jsp preview
and it is quite cheap.
EJB development is using xDoclet, which is sometimes a bit slow compared to jbuilder EJB visual ejb development

As for me I'm a VI/EMAC user. But I feel usage of an IDE undoubtedly increases efficieny and productivity of development cycle.
