Here's how I did it:

In your index.jsp, you have only one line:

<jsp:forward page="home.do" />

And then the home.do (or whatever Struts action) loads the content that
was previously in your 1st page. In other words, the page attribute
above points to your Tiles-enabled page.

Subject: Can I use Tiles Def for 1st page accessed on my site?

I have a site where index.jsp is the first page users access. It
contains
some text, a link to go to a registration page, and a form for
registered
users to login. I have converted all other pages to be defined by Tiles
definitions in an XML file. However, I cant figure out how or if I can
convert index.jsp to a tiles definition and still get it display on a
user's browser when they enter only the base URL for the website, i.e.,
www.chesh.com. Any suggestions? Or can this just not be done? Thanks!

p.s. I am sure this is a very basic issue. I apologize. I am a
web/struts/tiles newbie!  Love Struts though!!!
