I ended up grabbing the strings taglib and wrapped it as follows: <string:upperCase> <fmt:formatDate value="${transaction.transactionDate}" pattern="dd-MMM-yyyy"/> </string:upperCase>
This works great. I don't think we're using the JSTL library yet that includes the fn:toUpperCase functionality... How can I verify that?
