Does your application actually have multiple modules? If so, you are running into the first item listed under "Known Limitations" in the README.txt file (top level directory of the distribution). I'm planning to build a solution based on a Filter that should make this work -- it will require Servlet 2.3, but that should be OK because JSF requires 2.3 as well.
