Hi, I am using Kafka 0.8.1.1 with Storm 0.9.4 (storm-kafka subproject) without any problems. I am thinking to upgrade Kafka installation to Kafka 0.8.2.1, but I am not sure about compatibility issues. I have run a few simple tests with latest Kafka without any problems, but because of many changes on Kafka 0.8.2, I cannot be sure if I can still use Storm-Kafka 0.9.4 as is.
>From my understanding, Storm 0.9.4+ is not compatible with Kafka 0.8.2.x, but I prefer to ask people with better knowledge of Storm-Kafka internals. Anyone with such configuration?? problem / success / known limitation? Do you have any suggestion or rule? Storm rocks!! Regards, Adrianos.
