Hi all, Thanks for the help on this case! we finally settle this by adding a jar named: parquet-hive-bundle-1.5.0.jar when submitting jobs through spark-submit, where this jar file does not exist in our CDH5.3 anyway (we've downloaded it from http://mvnrepository.com/artifact/com.twitter/parquet-hive/1.5.0)
