Hi guys I have recently come across a number of old-style word docs (.doc format) which cause an infinite loop in AbstractWordConverter.java when text extraction is attempted on them, triggered by some formatting characters. While I can see the problem in the debugger, unfortunately I don't have a suggested fix as I don't understand some of the assumptions being made in the loop.
I can however, provide full details of the issue and an example file. Where is the best place to send them - here, or the developer's list? Also, should I attach the dodgy file to an email or is there a website I can upload it to?
