The Apache Phoenix team announces the retirement of the Apache Phoenix Tephra sub-project.
Due to the lack of volunteers to maintain Tephra, The Apache Phoenix team ends all development on the Tephra sub-project. There are no new releases of Tephra planned, and Tephra support is going to be removed from future Phoenix releases. The ACID transaction feature in Apache Phoenix is still going to be supported and developed, but instead of a choice of Tephra and Omid transaction engines, only Omid is going to be supported in the future.
