Hello, Peter. Thank you!
I'm use iptraf for unubtu. I think the load is a little less than the calculator . calculator see: One channel video 120x90 for 500 clients ~ 95,7Mb/s It is Good, and hoster allows Up to 1Gbit/s Ethernet-channel on need time hour* $ :) What about hardware configuration? On the test machine , with 20 clients, I see the memory usage up to ~2.5Gb (1,5Gb free and swap don't used) When to measure the load on the CPU? I'm used "top" see 10-30% The situation drastically changed when recording . And becomes critical after recording, when you start the conversion . --- WBR, Alexey Terekhov >Среда, 7 октября 2015, 13:46 +02:00 от Peter Dähn <da...@vcrp.de>: > >Hello Alexey, > >your bandwith will be the bottleneck... acording to this... > >http://openmeetings.apache.org/NetworkCalculator.html > >server outbound bandwidth 103412 kbit/s for 100 user... > >Greetings Peter > >Am 07.10.2015 um 13:03 schrieb Alexey Terekhov: >> Hi, People! >> >> Please, share experience that are hardware using for OM? >> How many clients have you had in Ethernet 100 Mb/s? >> >> For testing I use the old-school desktop computer : >> AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ (L1 256KiB/L2 1MiB) >> RAM: 4Gb (2x2GiB 800MHz (1.2ns) DDRII) >> HDD: SATA 3"5 500Gb 7200RPM >> >> I need help with choosing server for OM . >> The peak load of 500 people, 4 video stream size 240x120. >> (with pleasure would set astrix for VoIP max 5-6 simultaneous conversations) >> >> Will there be stably Supermicro E3 or Hewlett Packard DL160G5P? >> >> Smart-сервер Supermicro E3 >> CPU: Intel E3-1240 3.40GHz >> RAM: 8GB >> HDD: 2×1TB SATA >> Ethernet: 100 Mb/s >> >> Pro-сервер Hewlett Packard DL160G5P >> CPU: 2×Quad-Core Intel Xeon E5430 2.66 GHz >> RAM: 32GB >> HDD: 2×1TB SATA >> Ethernet: 100 Mb/s >> >> Thank You! >> >> --- >> WBR, Alexey Terekhov >> >>
